Children's Charter School Reviews

My daughter have been in the children charter school since kindergarten the teacher were excellent she was reading a 4th grade level in 1st grade the teachers there are very commited to the kids learning and the school is a family oriented thing. parents are very involved with the school. my daughter is going to the 6 grade now and she left the school with a 3.8 average. this is her average from 3 to 5 grade. One thing I can say about the school is that if you ain't learning you will not go to the next grade. our theme is no child left behind just what it says thats what our teacher went by. if you decide to send your child a Children Charter that will be a big challenge for he or she.

This is my daughter's second year at the school. I have been very pleased with the instruction. The school continually has a long waiting list, so her admission was in itself a surprise to me. I am not sure why the post from 8/11/08 is not satisfied with the school. As the previous parent mentioned, the max in a class is 20 (with a teacher, and an aid). While test scores are important, they are not the only measure of success for a school. It has been my experience, although somewhat limited, that this school genuinely cares about its students, and the principal is always striving for success, both from staff and students. I highly recommend this school. Might I also point out that many of the students receive free or reduced lunch, which according to EBRPSS indicates the level of poverty. These students are thriving. Kudos to CCS.

My son has attended this school since he has gone to school and I thought that this school would help in many different ways, it appears that the school is really interested in the education of my child and his success. I already have had one child graduate from this school and he is doing very well in a regular school setting!

There is no 10/1 ratio. There is not 2 teachers in each class. There is a teacher and sometimes an aid in each class. This school at one time was very good, but seems to be declining, just take a look at our test scores and compare the ones from 2008 and 2007 to the test results of 2006 and 2005. I am glad this was my last year.

My children have been going here for 5 years and I love it. The teacher/student ratio is 10 to 1. There are 2 teachers in each classroom and with the max. of 20 students per class. Our school does have of all the violence, and problems that other schools in our district has. It's a small close knit school, the teachers there have been there for a long time and most faculty and staff love our children. I will not put my child in another school!!

Now that the school year is over for 2007. I am going to miss my daughter kindergarten teacher ms.myles. She is an excellent teacher, also her teaching assistant teacher ms.jackson is very nice.Ms. myles goes beyond making sure her students know the tools they need to excel.Childrens charter is an excellent school and your child will learn. My daughter will be in 1st grade in the fall. And is way above her level valencia williams

Ms Lousteau is by far the greatest teacher I have ever seen. She was my son's Kindergarten teacher and I truly wish that he could stay in her class, however i know that he has to move on and I have full confidence that he will succeed with his new teacher.
