The Runnels School Reviews

My daughter has been at Runnels for two years now and I can't say enough wonderful things about the staff. The school functions have also been fantastic. My daughter and I have meet wonderful friends in the teachers, administration, peers and other parents. I would recomend Runnels to anyone.

My child started at a 1st grade level after leaving the public school syste. Every school has it's 'issues' and depending on the maturity of the parents, it will determine the child's ability to adjust. My child not only adjusted, she flourished. There were a few second grade teacher issues but those were ironed out. It is hard to direct a teachers and students and harder to make everyone joyous to each and every circumstance. I learned to respect this school very much and when there is something that I find rediculous, I have always been welcomed by Mrs. Runnels to discuss it and it has been ironed out to everyone's satisfaction. This is by far a wonderful school for the right people who appreciate what is stands for. On another note, I've had two others graduate from Catholic High and St. Michaels. I prefer Runnels!

I have two children there and they seem to enjoy the school. They are very young and school is a new experience altogether. For the most part, the school is an ideal institution. The teachers are very dedicated to their jobs. The school parent community is kind of snobbish, but overall the faculty and staff appear friendly. Education wise, it is more hands on than the local public schools. Personally, I would prefer to homeschool my kids instead of shelling out money to these institutions or fighting with the public school system.

Our daughter attended for one year. The school was only one notch better than the public school that she was attending. She had only one truly excellent teacher out of 6. One other teacher was decent & the others were either mean or lazy. In addition, the students are not open to new students--lots of probs. with cliques. A student has to have been there since kindergarten to gain any kind of acceptance. The arts program is overrated. In addition, they 'game the system' by only accepting the better students so that their test scores are better than avg. Trust me, they have better test scores only because they won't accept kids with learning probs, etc. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that the test scores will be higher when the kids with mediocre test scores are screened out & not allowed to enter the school.

Wonderful school! I attended Runnels during my high school years. I was very welcomed by both the staff and students. Athletics and extra-curricular activities are great and suit most students interests. The elementary offers so many wonderful programs and the teachers are very loving. The high school curriculum is challenging and prepares you for college.

Wonderful school with a great atmosphere!
