Lukeville Upper Elementary School Reviews

I have seen a wonderful level of parental involvement during my time with LUES. I do not know of any extracurricular activities offered at the school. I am concerned about the level of involvement that the teachers show when a student has a problem. I have heard a teacher say ( firsthand ) that the student would be better off going to school elsewhere. Some of the teachers are unwilling to do anything 'extra' to help your child succeed...even when there's a proven, demonstrated need for extra help or attention. Parents...BEWARE! On the other hand, there are some WONDERFUL teachers there who do honestly care for the children. It has been a pleasure to work with them. To those teachers who do take pride in their nvolvement with the children, THANK YOU! and keep up the good work.!

I have moved here from a another state and my childs grades have dropped dramitically, no one has called me to adress the problem ,it would of been resolved if I were able to recive some response from the faculty and save my from being child left behind. motto(no child left behind) and they will fail this year.

As a teacher at Lukeville, I feel that I'm working at a great school compared to stories I have heard from other teachers and also from stories that I have read. The school offers a wide variety of activities for the students. Those actiivities include plays, Beta Club, 4-H, talented art, and several fun as well as, educational field trips. The school is well structured. The principal, Mrs. Thomas runs a tight ship. She expects the best from not only the students but the faculty and staff. I can't go farther without praising Mr.Dexter for keeping the grounds and building clean. We do have discipline problems at Lukeville as well as with any school. We try to curtail most discipline before it gets out of hand. If I had to chose a school to work and send my child to I would chose Lukeville.

I am a teacher at Lukeville. I feel that not only is it a great place to teach but, a wonderful learning institution for the the students. Lukeville provides a very structured learning facility. The principal does a wonderful job of maintaing order. Mr. Dexter, the janitor, does an excellent job of keeping the grounds and buildings clean. The faculty and the staff works well together. I'm not saying we have the perfect school, but it's alot better than some of the places I hear and read about. As with every job, it has some advantages and disadvantages. If I had to chose a job this would be close to perfect as I can get. Also, we have a good support from parents.

There aren't enough extracurricular activities at the school. The teachers do not let you know when there is a problem with your child. My child was a transfer from another school and his grades have dropped dramatically since coming here. During teacher conferences (only during the week of report cards) do we find out that our child is not bringing homework back, not completing assignments and not participating in class either. We never received a phone call or a note letting us know there was a problem.

I have enjoyed my year at this school. The principal is very strict and the students are respectible towards their teachers and all of the workers and peers at the school. Keep up the good work and stop scaring my child. He does well and is terrified of the principal. But that could be a good thing.
